Formerly Hunger Awareness Week in Canada, Hunger Action Month became a month-long event in 2018 during the entire month of September. The month raises awareness of Canada's solvable hunger and food insecurity problem. Food Banks Canada, along with its provincial members and food banks across the country, is asking all Canadians to mark Hunger Action Month by positively impacting the issue of hunger across the country.
